Alright here we go, people might ask me ‘Aaron why only NOW you choose to get yourself into full time ministry, why not last year? Since you never liked doing what you were doing, why bothered to wait till this long and wasted your time and money? ’
Ever heard of Gods perfect timing? Well it’s simple, if I were to go into full time ministry a year ago, I tell you I would have fall hard on my face. A year ago I wasn’t mature enough, I still had LOADS to deal with, and I wasn’t prepared mentally and spiritually. Let’s just say if I were to really go into full time ministry last year, honestly I would have failed miserably. I wasn’t up to standard and the worst thing is I thought I was. I thought I was ALL that just because I went through countless of hard times, just because I had to think of things a normal 18 year old wouldn’t, think of working and providing for my family and things like that, I thought I was so special just because I had to face them and make it out on my own, self achievement. I felt proud! But I was foolish to think that way, I had too much confidence, and I didn’t see through the lies that I’ve made for myself, but all the confidence in the world would mean nothing without our reliance on God and please, that statement I made earlier on about making it on my own, everyone should know better it is By His Grace and Strength I was able to overcome the situations in my life. Without Him We are Nothing.
C H R I S T – I A N = without Christ, ‘I A N’ means ‘ I am nothing ’
‘ Gods timing is perfect ’ it’s a fact and its proven in my life, time after time after time, He has proven to me, as long as you’ve been trying hard to right your wrong, no matter how messed up you think you are, He’s never going to leave you to handle this world on your own. I mean seriously, I’ve done pretty nasty things back then, not just once but hack loads of times. But did God stop loving me? No He did not! Come on! He send His one and only son to DIE for us on the cross, you think all God wants to do is to punish you even more after letting His son sacrifice His life for you? I don’t think so, John 3:16 =)
Looking back now I realize why I had to go through all those problems over and over and over again, realizing why things just didn’t stop! Even when I was walking right, things just didn’t stop. What seemed like a brief season of trials, ended up being a life time experience for me, instead of learning from my mistakes, sub-consciously all I ever tried to do was making myself feel better after every mistake I make so that I don’t have to feel condemn or guilty. I do that and I forget to learn from my mistakes. Mistakes happen so that we can learn something valuable from it, but little do we don’t know, we don’t do that. All we do is just keep asking for forgiveness (which is very important) and try to make ourselves feel better(not so important), but we’re missing the point, the price and the rewards are in the mistakes we made, the lesson learned is an overwhelmingly amazing treasure =)
Such a season of trials and tribulation, such a season of dryness and wilderness is simply there to train you for a new season, to mold and shape you for greater things ahead. To prepare you for what God has install for you, and when I say that I DO mean Great things! God never plans evil or harm for you! We have to go through a dessert before reaching the promise land. If you are not prepared, if you're not up to standard, then if God do pour out his blessings and anointing on you, you wont be able to receive it to the fullest, a waste of time wouldn't it? Great man from the bible such as
=> Moses , raised in Pharaoh’s court as a prince, with the vision of delivering his people out of bondage and slavery; Moses who watched the sheep on the back side of the desert for 40 years.
=> You are alongside Joseph, the highly favored of his father, who had dreams of leadership and achievement; He was thrown in a pit by his own brothers, they sold him as a slave and Joseph locked in prison.
=> Job, man he was even worst. He lost everything from possessions, children, health, the support of his wife. Man.. truly the ‘the greatest of all the men of the east’ Job3:1
=> And even Jesus himself, he walked into the wilderness to face the forces of darkness for 40 days and 40 nights.
Those of you who are going through dry times, believe me when I tell you, as long as you’re walking right with the Lord, It is not a place of disapproval or punishment from God =) it is a time of training and breakthrough is just round the corner =) Get through those trials and you’re in for a treat ;) Understand what God is trying to teach you and learn from it =)
The route to the promise land cannot be attained without passing through the wilderness. We need to understand the purpose of our hard times before receiving great things from God =) if we are ready then and only then we are able to receive =)
Those of you, who feel unworthy or dirty whenever you make a mistake, PLS STOP! It is the Devil’s plans to make you feel that way, please understand that mistakes ARE the brighter side of life! God has allowed it to happen so that you can learn something valuable from it! Ignore it and that brief season of dryness will end up being a life time experience for you! And please bear in mind that making mistakes are inevitable, just as your clothes keeps getting dirty, you have to keep changing it don’t you? You can’t stop your clothes from getting dirty, it’s inevitable! The only way out of this is to keep putting on new clothes (righteousness and holiness) how? Simply repent and confess, and keep doing it! When you make a mistake, cover yourself with Gods righteousness and holiness, ask God to show you the things that He wants you to see, the things he wants you to know, so that you won’t just make a mistake in vain. You’re going to make mistakes one day sooner or later, but it is what you’re going to do about it when it happens counts the most.
Are you going to have self-pity and feel guilty? Or are you going to step up, overcome those negative emotions and carry on trying your best to be great for God, whoever desires to be perfect for God will one day be Perfect =) and the best thing is you’re never going to do it alone =)
So I tell you, stop putting all the weight on your shoulders, stop making yourself feel guilty or having self–pity because it is not going to make you any more righteous, or any more holier. Jesus has figured everything out for you so you don’t need to do the thinking, stop thinking and start doing what you are suppose to do, love what you do, everything truly happens for a reason and He will always guide you back if your lost, All in His Timing =)
